PROBLEMS SOLVED!!!

Has the same problems. Before the messagge" applessd.sys etc.etc.", deleted the applessd.sys but non solve the problem becaus "Im having the same KB/Mouse issues. After removing the AppleSSD.sys files, I was able to get through most of the installation (with Wireless USB KB & Mouse working just fine). After restarting and getting to the Set Up Windows screen, to enter Username & Computer name Mouse and KB no longer work. I tried unplugging and replugging in to the back of my computer (27" iMac - 5k Retina mid 2015) but no changes"

I am using 27" iMac - 5k Retina and installing Windows 7 Professional. I bought product key and have tried to install it for days.

SUCCESS AT LAST!! Here's what you need: Windows 7 image, a USB 2.0 flash drive , and the Boot Camp drivers 5.1.5769 that i find in this link: Boot Camp Support Software 5.1.5769 . They are hardware specific and available for download somewhere on the Apple Site. Here's what I did:

  1. Using Boot Camp Assistant, prepare the USB flash drive. Select the first two items and prepare the disk. Quit Boot Camp Assistant.
  2. From the Finder, delete the $WinPE$ and Boot Camp folders from the FLASH DRIVE.
  3. Expand the old Boot Camp drivers 5.1.5769 (two folders and another file) on your desktop.
  4. Copy the $WinPE$ and Boot Camp folders to the FLASH DRIVE.
  5. Reopen Boot Camp Assistant and select only the third option, install Windows 7.
  6. Sit back and relax as the installation proceeds.

Now the windows recognized my keyboard and mouse. The installation successufly. Perfect!

I hope this help will resolve your problem

So everyone here gets the same issue for me?

Let me share what i have got

Use bootcamp(BC) to make a USB bootable stick (ticking both 1st and 2nd option in BC) ->

install a helper tool(prompted by BC) ->

use BC to install windows(ticking the 3rd option in BC) ->

follow the steps ->

installation completed and restart ->

Had the black screen showing the error ( Windows can not verify .... )

Ok here's a little update. As I have AppleCare I have been in touch with them regarding the issue and guess what? They have told me this is a Windows problem and they cannot help me. I told Apple that the error occurs whilst still going through the Bootcamp process; it's only installed a partial windows OS and does the reboot to finish things off. **** (Seriously?? It's starred out the word H e l l ?? LOL) I haven't even given it my Windows 7 serial number yet, but no, its not an Apple problem.

I was given a link to Microsoft support and that was that. Thanks Apple.

I am now sitting here with a 30 minute wait time because MS is busy - probably with all the Windows 10 queries. I am seriously fed up with this whole situation now.

I'm just now having the very same problem on a 2012 Mac Mini. I had the Boot Camp on a second hard drive but was having problems with the drive so I swapped it out with a new 1 TB SSD. When I went to install Windows, this exact same message appears. I'm talking about an install that worked on one drive yesterday and does not work today. Don't hardly see how this could possibly be a Windows problem.

From what it seems. This is a problem related to a recent update to MacOS or the BootCamp software itself. Otherwise how can you explain that so many people just started having this out of the blue. If you search on Google there's no reference to this problem anywhere other than this thread. So this must be something that just started happening.. It must be an update gone wrong or something of that sort. This is an apple file missing, I doubt Microsoft Windows will have a file called AppleSSD.sys among their very own files. This is a BootCamp installation file. I wish some sort of engineer could take a look at this.

well, i see other post e he uninstall windows 10 and install windows 7 e get the same error... i think apple update the drivers and they not support more windows 7. they discontinued the support for windows 7. i have the same problem here and is not windows problem. https://macmagazine.com.br/2015/03/20/apple-comeca-a-abandonar-suporte-ao-window s-7-via-boot-camp/

Apple said nothing about the error, other than once the MAC reboots into windows and the error appears, its a windows problem. If the error was happening whilst booting under OSX then they could help

UPDATE: I have just come from having a chat with MS tech support and they have told me...."It's an Apple problem; you have to go back to them and get them to change Bootcamp to work properly..." I did try to explain when the problem actually happens and the tech guy said "MAC install files are in a different format; DMG etc so MAC's cannot run .EXEs so cannot do the install.." It was at that point I asked to speak with someone that knew about bootcamp and I explained that MS actually have their own support page with instructions on how to install windows using Bootcamp. Basically it was a long conversation going nowhere fast...

I am about to try the digital sig thing....however I may try finding the older version of the file as I can replace it on the bootable USB before I do the install. I found it in one of the installer directories. It's worth a go

Aug 13, 2015 1:57 PM in response to Loner T

@Loner-T - if I can find a copy of the applessd.sys file, can I just copy it to the USB i have just created and then it will be installed as part of the windows install process without having to bother going into safe mode etc? Besides, I think I already tried to boot into safe mode, but it can't even do that. It fails completely to load

Can you look in Bootcamp.xml and find this section and post a similar section?

I'm going to try this: "I found the answer through searching other sites, it's probably here somewhere as well. Reboot the computer. Press 'F8' during restart. Select Disable Driver Signature Enforcement from the boot menu. This fixed the driver issue in my case." http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-hardware/windows-cann ot-verify-the-digital-signature-for/1394eda4-2485-47a0-880f-95015995ac2d?auth=1
