PROBLEMS SOLVED!!!
Has the same problems. Before the messagge" applessd.sys etc.etc.", deleted the applessd.sys but non solve the problem becaus "Im having the same KB/Mouse issues. After removing the AppleSSD.sys files, I was able to get through most of the installation (with Wireless USB KB & Mouse working just fine). After restarting and getting to the Set Up Windows screen, to enter Username & Computer name Mouse and KB no longer work. I tried unplugging and replugging in to the back of my computer (27" iMac - 5k Retina mid 2015) but no changes"
I am using 27" iMac - 5k Retina and installing Windows 7 Professional. I bought product key and have tried to install it for days.
SUCCESS AT LAST!! Here's what you need: Windows 7 image, a USB 2.0 flash drive , and the Boot Camp drivers 5.1.5769 that i find in this link: Boot Camp Support Software 5.1.5769 . They are hardware specific and available for download somewhere on the Apple Site. Here's what I did:
Now the windows recognized my keyboard and mouse. The installation successufly. Perfect!
I hope this help will resolve your problem

i've removed specified files just on usb stick and reinstall win7 from scratch. Now the windows is installed and it's good, but a half of devices are not installed. My usb ports are not working and i can't continue install bootcamp from usb stick. So, it's not working method for me.
If your Keyboard/Mouse worked during the installation, you should have USB connectivity. What happens if you plug-in your with Windows Booted?
Im having the same KB/Mouse issues. After removing the AppleSSD.sys files, I was able to get through most of the installation (with Wireless USB KB & Mouse working just fine). After restarting and getting to the Set Up Windows screen, to enter Username & Computer name Mouse and KB no longer work. I tried unplugging and replugging in to the back of my computer (27" iMac -Late 2014) but no changes.
The mouse and keyboard are usb2, the ports are likely usb3. Why should any of that matter if the mouse and keyboard worked in the install process and prior to deleting applessd.sys via the above mentioned method. Unless that driver also includes usb drivers.
So I am curious. Did Boot Camp and the drivers install properly? I did exactly as you stated. Installation went just fine but at the last step I get the message "This version of Boot Camp is not compatible with this system." When I check, there are no drivers for any of the Mac devices. Thanks!
I Have just encountered the same overall problem - first time I have ever tried to install windows on a Mac and all so I can use a video editor I like. To reboot inot OSX hold down/keep pressing the option or on a Win keyboard the alt key after you press the reset/start button on the mac. It then should come up with a screen where you can select your mac OSX partition . Then you need to enter your wireless router password after selecting your network. It should then boot!
Has as anyone got a workaround to this SSD Sys file issue yet that works? I have been reading through the 6 pages generated already after I first threw a fit at the computer and it's not abundantly clear if removing the file is the key Or whether from the usb stick or the NTFS partition.
yes, a definitive step by step would be useful for the best fix. As a point of note, I actually had two APPLESSD.SYS files; one in the root of a directory and the other within an APPLESSD folder if I remember correctly. Seems like everyone has been deleting the whole folder?
It's not the only problem. In my case I have usb2-compatible flash and usb2-mouse? mut both of my ports is usb3.0 and didn't work after install. So I can't continue without applessd.sys. Now i will try to remove this driver from disk, not from usb. Maybe that will work
I need drivers for macbook pro mid 2014. Can you provide a link on it?
Also, I tried to install by deleting drivers from stick and from disk after install. Nothing changed. After install my usb ports are not working. And there's some kine of workaround - you can place usb content to the windows drive root from mac osx using paragon or tuxera ntfs drivers. But after that, running bootcamp I get "it's system is not supported" or something like that. I've installed all drivers from folder manually, but usb still not working.
OK well I successfully went through a Windows 7 install following Viking Vols process above, (using the 5.1.5621) but I have no drivers for setting up WiFi. It cannot find any network card etc.
If I remember rightly there was a file that you are supposed to run once you have Windows installed, but as the USB key isn't working either, I may have to use Paragon to drop a file onto the NTFS partition then boot as Windows to run it. This is the farthest I have got with this process, so whilst everything still isn't quite there, I'm happy to be heading in the right direction.
I too have a macbook pro mid 2014, so I'll post what drivers I find here for you Alexsoftdev 🙂
with this drivers my usb ports became alive
now i going to install overall chipset drivers https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/20775/Intel-Chipset-Device-Software-IN F-Update-Utility-
and, of course,for the geforce 750m -http://www.nvidia.ru/content/DriverDownload-March2009/confirmation.php?url=/Wind ows/355.60/355.60-notebook-win8-win7-64bit-international-whql.exe&lang=ru&type=g eforcem
wifi and other you can install from bootcamp drivers provided by apple
It's not cool, i think, but at least I can play gears of war I while waiting really good fix from apple
Thanks to this thread i managed to solve most of the problems i'm having. I'll just post my problems and solutions as well.
The following are problems i've encountered trying to run boot camp and install windows 7 on my late 2014 MBP 15"
1) No device driver found, when installing windows 7.
2) 0xc0000428 error
3) after installing windows 7. Several driver are missing, namely the wireless, USB.
4) unable to run setup.exe from BootCamp
Here are the solutions that worked for me.
1) Power off and on the MacBook, hold the Option button, select Mac OS > boot camp assistant > tick only the 3rd option ( with your USB stick plugged in )
2) Before executing step (1), open up your USB which should be WINSTALL > $WinPEDrivers$ > delete AppleSSD64 folder
3) After executing (2) followed by (1), i was able to complete Windows 7 set up. But i was missing all the important drivers such as USB, Wireless ETC. Therefore i couldn't run any file from my USB or update any drivers online. Luckily for me my trackpad and keyboard still works. The solution is to boot Mac OS, download PARAGON NTFS / TUXERA NTFS which will allow you to read and write to the disk where windows is installed. Locate the BootCamp file on your USB, copy and paste it into the Windows Disk drive. Shut down Mac > boot windows > locate the BootCamp file and install all the drivers 1 by 1.
4) I assume that setup.exe from BootCamp would solve all the driver issue for me but unfortunately i faced the error "This version of Boot Camp is not intended for this computer model" so i ended up installing all the drivers 1 by 1. Currently i have my Wireless driver up and running.
I'm still trying to figure out the solution for running Setup.exe as currently i'm unable to view my Mac OS Disk drive from Windows, and there is this driver named BootCamp which request me to install it through setup.exe
Cheers, Jaichyi
Thanks loads to you and Viking Vol here: I used 5.0.033 and copied some of the broadcom driver files from the trashed set and it installed fine apart from losing my wireless mouse connectivity at the final hurdle (why does that happen?!) . I'm trying to remember all my mouseless shortcut key combos now!
@ Limjaichyi Which version of Bootcamp are you running? If you are getting "this is not the right version for this MAC" when you try to run SETUP then maybe you need to redo your install.
I just checked the bootcamp list and it only shows which version to use for Mid 2014 Macs, but I would guess you should be using that same version anyway. It should be 5.1.5621 which is the version I used and SETPUP ran fine for me and installed all the drivers automatically.
I also have my bluetooth keyboard and mouse working too which is a bonus as a few people seem to be having issues with that too.
Thanks Tooshy1054 - this might be a daft question but can you just clarify what you meant by the last two points:
4. Rebooted MAC into Windows 7
5. Ran SETUP.EXE in the Bootcamp directory and it began to install all the drivers: NVIDIA, networking, mouse, keyboard etc.
I have been going around in circles as my USB keyboard and mouse don't co-operate once I get to the Windows 7 set up page (Type a user name, Type a Computer name)...the become non-responsive.
Cheers!
Update: I have discovered it's USB that isn't working. My Bluetooth keyboard works fine but neither a USB keyboard or the USB stick are discoverable. I used the older bootcamp version to get thus far - I wonder which files I need to copy across to get USB functionality? Any ideas? It's a late 2012 Mac mini. Device manager such as it is finds one solitary device it can't pin down but gives no option of locating a driver for it - it thinks it's an IR device. generic USB is installed but again I can't do things from within that. Starting to really irritate me. Oh, and the machine is running much hotter.
