Bootcamp Assistant not working for Windows 10

I picked up my new macbook pro this morning (13 inch 256GB), and I've been trying to dual boot it with Windows 10. I've downloaded the ISO from Microsoft and formatted my USB stick to FAT. However, I keep getting errors in the bootcamp assistant. It either gets stuck while downloading the Windows Support files or says the Windows Support files could not be saved to the selected drive.

Any help?

1. If your W10 installation recognizes USB2 devices, then from the OS X side download the latest available BC drivers using BCA. Restart in W10, and run setup.exe from Bootcamp folder of the USB with Administrative rights and compatibility to W8.1 64-bit.

2. If no devices are recognized, download Paragon for NTFS for OS X, and the drivers from step 1 can be written to a C: folder of your choice that a booted W10 can see. Run setup.exe from Bootcamp folder of the USB with Administrative rights and compatibility to W8.1 64-bit.

Please also verify that the W10 link I posted has your Mac year/model listed as supported.

I tried using the thunderbolt to ethernet adapter and it ended up working. I've now installed Apple Software Update, however Boot Camp 6 does not appear in the available updates.

I also did your step 1, however I still got the same message: This version of Boot Camp is not intended for this computer model.

And this is the Early 2015 Retina Macbook so it is on the list.

i have the same macbook pro you do.the problem lies with bootcamp.look at the version.i think its 5.14.apple is set to release bootcamp 6 any day now.with this new update you should be able to finish downloading the windows 10 files you need to install on the mac.otherwise you'll keep getting stuck downloading the files on the usb stick.once apple releases bootcamp 6 you should be fine.

1. A clean install of W10 requires BC6 drivers to be available on the OSX side and be copied to the USB installer. Unfortunately, as wolfnet12 points out they are not available for OSX yet.

2. A upgrade install has existing BC5 drivers on the Windows side, and as part of the upgrade, the Apple Software Update makes the 64-bit BC6 drivers for windows available. 32-bit version of any Windows version cannot be upgraded as stated in the link I posted earlier.

You can either do an upgrade install, or if you really want a clean install, wait till the Windows side of Apple Software Update is available for a clean installation.
