IDE for Arduino HD
At last, here is the much awaited app that lets you take the Arduino IDE in an iOS app wherever you go!
# What is this app?
This app lets you upload and debug your Arduino sketches (Arduino programs)
directly from any iOS device to a remotely placed Arduino board. This app
will compile the sketch and upload it to the Arduino board. But, it also has
the Serial Monitor built-in!!!! You can see what your Arduino is doing using
the Serial monitor, far away from the actual Arduino board.
Never used so can't vouch for it.

While there are some tools for coding, you can't compile any programs on the iPad. You can certainly offer Apple feedback here: http://www.apple.com/feedback/, but the odds of that changing anytime soon are probably close to nil.
Questions on a very specialized forum by no means demonstrates any appreciable level of demand.
I've contacted Arduino team on if they are going to take part in MFI to let the users communicate over Lightening cable with Arduino boards but unfortunately they are not going to do it. Hopefully you can use full-featured ArduinoCode to code right on your iPad/iPhone (www.apploader.info) and upload over BLE right from your iPhone/iPad with Apploader iOS app (arduinocode.info). Hope it helps.
"Apple apparently does not allow IDE programs to run on iPad?"
What in the world are you talking about?
You can only run iOS apps on an iPad.
And there is no way currently to compile iOS apps on an iPad.
That requires a Mac.
The demand is clear from questions found on Arduino related forums. Apple apparently does not allow IDE programs to run on iPad? Programming is possible from Mac but it would be convenient if I could also write and compile Arduino software on my iPad.
What makes you think Apple is preventing it? Or that there is actually a demand?
