I was wondering, to get my charger fixed, do I have to bring my Macbook to the genius bar appointment?? Thank you

I suggest you to take the MacBook too, because the Genius may need the serial number to check that your Mac is in warranty (but you will not need it for anything else).
You MUST bring your MacBook -- they can do nothing for you without it.
I suggest you bring everything you want working correctly after the appointment.
This would also include your MacBook and power adapter, graphics tablet/external mouse, and possibly additional accessory devices such as your backup drive, etc. If you routinely use your Mac with an iPhone or iPad, bring that (and its power adapter) as well.
