How do I view only one e-mail account at a time on my iMAC? I have three e-mail accounts (two yahoo and one gmail), and currently, they all merge into one inbox when I open mail. I only want to view one account at a time.
You don't say what machine or OS you are using. On a computer in the mail box sidebar, look for see if there is a small arrow to the left of inbox. Click on that.

The "Inbox" has a small disclosure triangle. If you click on the disclosure triangle, it will expand the "Inbox" to display each individual account.

Use Mail>View>Show Mailbox List, then click on the desired Mailbox.
Hi, I see the mailboxes on the left. But those are the various folders I have set up for one of my yahoo accounts. The mail inbox has merged all three of my accounts into one inbox (I'm not referring to the folders or "mailboxes" on the left, but the actual mail accounts). When I'm viewing one of the yahoo accounts, I don't want the gmail account and the other yahoo account included in the view in the same inbox. Is there a way to prevent that?
I apologize if this is a confusing question... I'm having a hard time explaining what I'm seeing and what I want to do. 🙂
I'm sorry. This is my first Apple computer, and I'm feeling very lost right now. But yes, what you're showing me is correct, and now I understand how to view just one account at a time. Thank you!
