Adding RGB color swatches in FCP

Help!

I'm creating a video in FCP for a programme update and using lots of titles over video. I need to pick out certain words in the titles to match the brand colours but can only seem to do this by using the color picker tool - please can someone tell me if you can add colour swatches using RGB codes like Photoshop, InDesign and then how to add these too the titles?

Really appreciate any help!! 🙂

You can use the system color picker very easily, with all its possibilities - including RGB values. Plus, you can use it to save colors you want to reuse, just like you can in just about any application.

Select any portion of the text, go to "Face" in the Inspector, click "Show" if necessary; then next to the word "Color", click the color itself (not the little down arrow). This opens the color picker. As you can see in the picture below, there is an option to input RGB values. To save a color for reuse, just drag it to one of the little squares at the bottom of the color picker.
