Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid.

When using auto update to update from iTunes 12.2.1 to iTunes 12.2.2, I am getting the error as in the picture below

I tried as in the picture to download manually using the apple software update but I am getting this

Also tried from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and still getting the same error message "Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid."


I am using a Toshiba laptop and I just recently upgraded from windows 7 home to windows 10 home


Any suggestions ??

Had the same problem, but error database 2070.

Looked it up and it is Portuguese language.

Although Portuguese is one of the installer languages, there are 2: Portuguese BR and Portuguese PT.

Once I changed for the english UK... everything installed correctly.

The component that was giving me problems was "AppleApplicationSupport64.msi" (Apple Application Support (64-bit) 3.2)

Someone else had the same issue with Apple Application Support here: Re: I have a new computer, and downloaded iTunes but get an error message (Error 2) that Apple Application Support was n… Am I right in thinking you are in Portugal rather than Brazil? Swapping to Portuguese (Brazil) would be the easiest solution for Portuguese speakers, assuming it works. I've filed a bug report mentioning both language errors so hopefully the next installer won't have the same problem.
