empty notification curtain and call log

I have been with this problem for quite a while now. when some notification comes while the phone is on standby it shows the notification on the lock screen, but the calls I missed are not listed there. and when I unlock my phone while opening a notification all the other notifs just vanish. I cant find them in the notification curtain and even if a notification comes while I am using the phone I cant view them later in the curtain. And about the call logs, I cant see my call logs in there as there is no data in that field.. its just empty. no recent calls, no missed calls, nothing. please help !!!

Hey there rusty mane,

It sounds like your Notification Center and call history are empty. What you describe seems like a software issue to me so I would start by quitting the Settings and Music apps:

Force an app to close in iOS

1. Press the Home button two times quickly. You'll see small previews of your recently used apps.
2. Swipe left to find the app you want to close.
3. Swipe up on the app's preview to close it.

When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:

iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

If the issue persists, backup your device to iTunes, then restore it as new and verify that it works.

How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
If it does, then restore your backup to either verify it still works and the software just needed reinstalled, or isolate the issue to the backup file itself.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

Alright, progress! Usually when you restore a device as new and do not from a backup that will eliminate software issues from the equation and isolate the problem to hardware. So if you restored from a backup restore it as new instead and test the Notification Center.

If you did restore as new I am not yet convinced the issue is to do with hardware, and would recommend restoring as new from another computer, then testing the issue.

If it persists there, then I would have to recommend service for your phone:
