wifi password incorrect after iOS 8.4.1 update

My iPhone 5s consistently drops out of wi-fi and asks for password. When i type in (correct) password, i keep getting error message stating "incorrect password" - does anyone have a fix? I've tried rebooting router & iPhone several times with no success. Was always spot on prior to most recent update to 8.4.1

Howdy MalibuBear,

My understanding of your issue is that since updating your iPhone's system version to iOS 8.4.1 you have been unable to connect to a Wi-Fi network because it gives you an incorrect password error. Is this correct?

I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article - If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network.

I have an iPhone 6 that exhibited this issues after the 8.4.1 update. It will connect on many WiFi APs, but will not connect to any of the 3 APs where I work. It connected to all before the update.

I have forced a reboot of my phone, reset the APs, performed the Settings|General| Reset| Reset Network Settings, then reset the AP again, but no love. I still get "Incorrect Password". My laptop connects to the same APs consistently and without issue.

Any ideas?

I'm having the same issue! iOS 8.4.1 has been the bain of my existence since I downloaded it. I can't log onto any of my wifi networks. I've tried everything! I've been researching online and I've seen that a lot of people are having the same issue and some offer different possible solutions but I can tell you that I've tried them all and none of them work for me. Does anyone habe any original ideas/solutions on how to fix this issue?

Hello All - I've now been able to fully rectify this situation. Not sure if the problem was related to latest update or not but I had my network specialist come in (i run SONOS and other peripheral wi-fi products so it was more involved) and after a few hours of testing etc, he came up with the problem resolved by removing conflicting router and WAP points overlapping causing the iPhone connectivity problems. Once the overlapping was resolved i was able to achieve connection as prior to update. Possibly the update increased iPhone wi-fi sensitivity to the problem......dont know but now resolved. Hope this helps you guys, good luck.
