Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I bought my son the newest iPod Touch, 64Gb. Sounds such as music, alarms, and keyboard clicks can be heard. YouTube videos play with sound. When he tries to play a game that has sounds, there is no sound or music played. Any ideas?

What specific games? More than one?
Have you checked the setting for the games?
No sound with internal speaker?
With headphones?
Have you tried both outputs?
Specific Games
Mortal Combat, Pocket God, Minions
No sound for games with internal speaker. But sounds can be heard with headphones. It is strange. External speaker and head phones work for all other apps, internet.
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
You can also call Apple since you have 90 days of free telephone support
I had done the reset iOS device prior to posting and that didn't help. But, I went ahead and redid the reset and added the Reset All Settings. That did the trick! Thanks for your help.
