Windows 10 on Optibay HDD booting problems

What I want: Boot Windows 10 from secondary HDD in Optibay.

So what I did (also maybe other people can learn from it):

- Create bootable USB

- Switch secondary HDD to main bay to install Windows (note: necessary!!!)

- Windows installed and working

- Changed SSD/HDD's back to their wanted position -> OS X (SSD) in main bay - Windows (HDD) in Optibay

- Now Windows not booting (flashing cursor)

So far installing Windows with an Optibay is crap, maybe someone has an idea to get it working?

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5), mid 2012

I am able to get to the windows partition from OS X (NTFSforMac). Something to do that Windows sees secondary HDD as an optical drive probably?

Put your Windows HDD in the main bay and move your OS X to the Optibay and test. A better solution is to buy a larger SSD and use only the main bay for both. The current configuration is prone to failure with every upgrade of either OS.

Ok clear, will try it. Yes didn't run into that much trouble with Windows 7 in a optibay with Lion installed. Anyway am I right that im loosing read/write speed if I put the SSD in the Optibay?

You can check the link speed and negotiated speed with the SSD in optibay and check. Newer Macs do not throttle Optibay SATA, but older ones (<2010 models and some 2011 models) do.
