Batch export .numbers to .csv

Sorry SG, I misunderstood the name property of an item class of Finder.app. I conformed that it returns a file name with its file extension even if the Finder Preferences is set not to show all filename extensions.

Right. I'd forgotten the potential confusion because not everyone has this preference set as I do (to always show the filename extension).

If that preference is unchecked then it will appear as if there isn't a .numbers extension. But it's still there, just not displayed. And the script will still know it is there, and avoid trying to have Numbers open non-Numbers documents that happen to be in the chosen folder.

Not at all. It's always great to see people working to learn Numbers and AppleScript! I found writing this particular script, short though it is, to be fraught with unexpected little difficulties.

In Numbers 3.0+ it seems you can't 'tell' an app to export anymore either... does anyone know a work around?
