Does MacPro 2013 Support Display port 1.2
I can see in the posted specs that the Mac Pro Tower will support 5k displays But will it support the Display port mode 1.2
Thanks

yup, probably. I have a Mac Pro Tower from 2010 with a sapphiretech 7950 video card in it, and it supports displayport just fine. I'm pretty sure that's the only way to do 5k-Thunderbolt or displayports
hope this helps?

Yes it does. I have a 2013 Mac Pro and have to set my monitor for DP 1.2 in order to get 60 Hz@4K

...and that setting, is in the display ITSELF, not in any Mac Preferences, right?
You access it with display's own On-Screen/Setup controls?
The Mac has no DP setting. If one exists it i in the monitor -on-screen settings, at least that where was it was for my monitor. I did this
Dell UP2414Q and UP3214Q: Choose Menu > Display Setting > DisplayPort 1.2 > Enable
as Apple said in
The Mac Pro 2013 aka. the 'new' Mac Pro does indeed support Displayport 1.2. This means it can support a Dell 5K monitor via two separate Displayport connections. One connection will drive half the 5K screen the second will drive the other half.
No Mac as yet supports Displayport 1.3. Displayport 1.3 would be able to drive a new suitable 5K monitor via a single Displayport cable.
For what its worth the 'classic' Mac Pro can also drive a Dell 5K monitor via two Displayport 1.2 connections in exactly the same way if you have a suitable video card like the GTX 980.
