iOS 8.4.1: No Apple Music + Downloading Apps

I've installed iOS 8.4.1 and noticed three major problems which make my iDevices useless for me:

1. The all new Apple Music stopped playing songs. I'm still in my trial period and enjoyed Apple Music so far. But now the App won't start playing songs.

2. I can't download Apps from the App Store. The circle just keeps spinning and spinning.

3. I wanted to check out my iTunes & App Store settings to solve these issues on my own. But every time I want to open it within the Settings App, it freezes. I also noticed Safari would freeze very often since 8.4.1.

Now I'm sitting here with my iPhone / iPad and can't listen to music. I can't even switch back to Spotify because I can't download the App. It's a mess!!!

Same issue. Apple music worked great under 8.4. Since the update 8.4.1 locks up my Apple music streaming, logging out of gamecenter, updating and download my apps from the App Store, as well as any in app areas that needs my iTunes login to work properly. Shutting the iPhone and off fixes the issue temporarily, but begins again after a few hours. Very frustrating.

Obviously this is becoming an issue with more and more people.

As mentioned, they completely replaced my IP6+ at the store but i am now having the issue on my iPad - i additionally got a drained battery today after coming back to the house (left the iPad at around 58%) never happened to me before if device was on standby.

I would encourage anyone that is under warranty to get in touch with apple and get this issue out there - i personally think this shouldn't be acceptable.

I will try to post on more websites.

Cheers,

I am having the same issues with the iPhone 6 and iPad Air2. I updated both devices the day the update came out within a half hour of each other. Other devices around the house were updated later and don't seem to have been having the same issue. Bad glitch in the stream? Build # is 12H321 on both devices. The first time I noticed it was on iBooks with a blank screen. Double click to multitask and the screenshot there was from the last time the app was opened. Battery was draining quick and phone was getting hotter than usual. Checked the Mail app and it had not updated for over 3 hours like it was in a loop looking for the mail server. Turning the phone off and back on fixes this issue for maybe a day or two and it only seems to effect Apple's own apps. 3rd party apps like twitter and fb seem to roll along just fine. I did do a network reset but all that accomplished was me having to reconnect with all my known wifi places again. With iOS 9 coming in about 2 weeks, I wonder if we will even get a fix for this in the meantime? I also just noticed that the phone had been renamed to iPhone(3). Supposed to be Golden iPhone 6.

iPhone 6+ / 8.4.1

Similar issues. Shutting off/on is a temporary fix, but I don't want to do this 4+ times a day. 😕

- Apple Music: can browse and chose songs, but nothing plays. Stuck at 0:00

- Apple Music: Will also get the "Join Apple Music" screen occasionally after failing to play a song.

- Settings: Selecting 'Music' or 'iTunes & App Store' results freeze/crash. All other settings work.

- Safari: When loading certain sites, will freeze/crash (abcnews.com)

- App Store: Can browse, but can not install any apps. Spinning circle, no icon installed on home screen.

Restored / Deleted and turned off Keychain (iCloud)

Is anyone else experiencing WIFI issues with the new IOS 8.4.1 update? It randomly kicks me off of the wifi I have already connected to in the past. Sometimes before I realize I've been kicked off I end up using a lot of my data and now I'm about to get charged for going over data when I should have been connected to wifi the whole time? I wouldn't even be near my data threshold if I was able to stay on wifi most the time like I usually do.

Mi Solution

  1. Put Your Iphone DFU mode (Click Home And Power buttons 3 Seconds, Keep Push in Home Button 10 Seconds)
  2. in Your Computer open Keychain, select iCloud and delete all Key's !IMPORTAN Keep Your iPhone on DFU Mode.
  3. Connect Your iPhone to iTunes and Restore Completly.

For Other Devices, How, iPads And iPods Touch, After All This Only Reset.

IMPORTANT, Dont Use Apple Music After this.

Same problems here. I try to restart my iPhone 5 but I still cant play any songs from the Apple Music library, only offline songs. It s really frustrating because I had been enjoying my free trial and now I cannot use it at all. I have chosen family membership with other relatives but they dont have the newest software and dont have any problems at all. I also cant update any apps in the AppStore.

What seems to have worked for me is eliminating any network ipv6 information that the iOS device was picking up. (I'd been messing around with a dual stack on my cisco router at home and it was advertising a non-routable ip via dhcp. Turning that off and making sure it wasn't being used by my iPhone or my iPad and the problem went away.

It does return when I go to work and access the internet that way - and pick up another ipv6 address. I have to reboot to get back to the app store. (I don't have access to the office router so I can't see if turning ipv6 there fixes it too.)
