Hi Allan,
Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
If I understand correctly, music is missing from the iTunes library on your MacBook Pro.
If the issue occurred after updating to the latest version of iTunes, try running through the troubleshooting suggestions in this article:
If you don't see your content after you update iTunes - Apple Support
If you're using Apple Music, this article will walk you through the process of adding songs from Apple Music to the iTunes library.
Add music from the Apple Music catalog to your library - Apple Support
Ciao.
The question is:
I have actual music on my computer
This used to show up in Itunes as music that had been downloaded.
Now all of the music on my Itunes shows up like it is on the cloud.
I have done the things suggested above no help
Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities, Allan. Due to the nature of the iTunes issue, you may find more information by using another one of the Apple support resource provided here: https://getsupport.apple.com/GetproductgroupList.action.
