Hi coleybare143,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

It sounds like you've inadvertently set up your devices in a way that allows text messages to appear on both your iPhone and your Mac mini, and you want to know how to stop them from appearing on your Mac mini.

If you haven't already, try adjusting the Continuity settings for devices that you would like to forward messages to, which is described below.

Use Continuity to connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac - Apple Support

To use Continuity for SMS and MMS with your iPhone and your Mac, iPad or iPod touch

Your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch need to use iOS 8.1, and your Mac needs to use OS X Yosemite.

  1. Sign in to iMessage on your iPhone, your other iOS devices, and your Mac using the same Apple ID.
  2. On your iPhone: Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > You Can Be Reached By, and add a check to both your phone number and email address. Then, go to Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding, and enable the device(s) you would like to forward messages to.
  3. Your Mac, iPad, or iPod touch will display a code. Enter this code on your iPhone to verify the SMS feature.

If the issue persists, try unlinking your phone number from Messages as described here:

iOS and OS X: Link your phone number and Apple ID for use with FaceTime and iMessage - Apple Support

Unlink a phone number

To remove a phone number from an Apple ID, sign out of FaceTime and Messages on your iPhone:

  • Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
  • Settings > FaceTime. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.

This should remove your phone number from other devices using the same Apple ID with FaceTime and Messages. If the phone number is still available on other devices after you sign out of FaceTime and iMessage on the iPhone, you may need to sign out of iMessage and FaceTime on all your devices, then sign in to FaceTime and Messages again on devices you want to use.

Note: If you no longer have access to the iPhone that is using the number you want to remove, reset your Apple ID password.

Ciao.
