Icloud Missing Iphone from List of devices

Hi, hoping someone can help me!

After chatting with an apple advisor on monday reguarding a missing app, i did what was advised and ended up losing all my photos! four years worth. i tried to restore to a different date and still no photos. Ive tried on itunes to do this and also icloud. On icloud it does not even show my iphone, just my ipad. ive been trying all week to find a way to get them back.

i would appreciate any advice

Your iPhone won't show up on the iCloud list. Only devices running iOS 8 or higher or Macs running Yosemite show up on that list.

So you are trying to redownload a missing app?

No, i couldnt care less about the app now. Id just love to be able to get my photos back

OK, so what photos are missing? Photos on the Photo Stream? Camera Roll Photos?

iCloud will only keep the last 30 days or 1000 photos in Photo Stream, even though your device will accumulate them until you turn off Photo Stream. At that point, all you can get back is what iCloud has.

Did you import them at any point? Have you ever backed up your device?

All my camera roll are missing. Managed to keep some that i had duplicates on, on my ipad.

I backed up this monday before i restored to a previous date, but it doesnt show that restore date.

last one it is showing is 2011!

Ive never imported them to my laptop or anywhere

means? What, exactly did the Apple advisor have you do? Where did you make your backup? iTunes or iCloud? How are you trying to "find" it now?

Sorry, i meant i backed up my phone before i restored it to a previous date, as advised.

and sure enough the app was there but my camera roll had vanished.

And so, when you are trying to restore your phone to that very last backup, are you resetting the phone to Factory Settings, and then seeing if the backup you are looking for is listed when you select Restore from Backup?

I went on to itunes, i backed up my iphone (or so i thought) and i then I restored back up to a much earlier date. I did that and all of my photos from camera roll had vanished but found the missing app

Also, my keyboard had turned to the american version and my emojis were missing

OK, so your backup is in iTunes. When you open iTunes and click on Preferences>Devices, do you not see the last backup you made listed there?

When you say your device is not listed in iCloud, I was presuming you meant in iCloud.com since that is the forum you posted under. Is that what you meant? Or did you mean it is not listed when you go to Settings>iCloud>Storage>Manage Storage on your device itself?

No i dont see it at all.

Yes that was what i meant. Icloud.com it wasnt there and you kindly explained why.

So, now, when you are going to Settings>iCloud>Storage>Manage Storage on your iPhone, you are not seeing you iPhone listed at all? And the iPhone is singed on to the same iCloud account it was when you restored from the backup?

And when you go to iTunes on your computer, and you click on Preferences>Devices, you are not seeing the recent backup you made of that phone?

Yes i am seeing it, also my ipad.

No thats correct i am not seeing it there. the previous one i can see from 2011

and i also made one after it all went wrong, that is there but not the one that took me quite a while to do (the missing one)

So you are seeing your iPhone listed under Settings>iCloud>Storage>Manage Storage. Click on the iPhone in that setting, and see what the "Latest Backup" date is. Post back with that info.
