"Open to populate list" Using iTunes for Garageband help! PLEASE!

I use to be able to import iTunes music into GarageBand for my MACBOOKPRO, and after this latest update, It keeps showing "Open iTunes to populate list" It also shows that in iMovie and says that when I open the Music section under the "Media" tap! . PLEASE HELP! I
