iPod classic wont sync?

Does your computer have Norton AV on it? This seems to be causing issues for non-iOS devices at the moment. If so try temporarily disabling it, reboot and try again.

Otherwise see iPhone, iPad, or iPod not recognized in iTunes for Windows - Apple Support.

If you didn't transfer your library properly from your old computer then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

Update to 12.3 doesn't fix this issue. Shouldn't have to jump through hoops messing with Norton just to get a simple sync.

When I plug in, it says syncing for about 10 seconds and then "OK to Disconnect". Nothing syncs however.

If you have Norton however it does seem to be responsible for causing some users problems with non-iOS devices. Norton are aware of the issue, and have at least one support representative following various threads here. Not so sure if Apple are aware of the problem.

Unistalled Norton but the problem persists. iPod connects and shows up in iTunes. Syncs for 10 seconds and then disconnects. No actual syncing takes place.

Have you made any changes in the library that would require new files to be added to the device? Actively disconnects, or does it just stop showing sync activity? Are you clicking a sync/apply button, or relying on the device to sync when it is connected?

Yes, added some music recently. Tried syncing every which way. Still no luck

Restart the iPod and the computer. Check the iPod service is running in services. If you've uninstalled Norton have you replaced it with anything else yet? Try iTunes in its safe mode (hold Ctrl+Shift as you start iTunes).

I've restarted the computer multiple times. Did try restarting the iPod. You don't mean resetting, correct?

I reset Norton back to the default settings.

I'll try iTunes in safe mode too later today.
