Can't find a Numbers spreadsheet I worked on several times last week. It has disappeared. NOT on icloud or any drive. Not by date or name...Time machine was not on. How can I salvage it? Please.

Bad idea, so now you have a missing file with no filename and no backup. My guess is you won't find it.
The sheet itself had a name. I was not aware that work just disappears, at least not on a mac!
If it has a name then you did save it (unless that name is 'untitled')
Your workflow is unreliable, and operating without backup just makes it less reliable than it was. Consider altering your workflow.
