How to use F13-F24 on MacBook Pro

Hello,

I have a new MacBook Pro and I would like to find a way to be able to use an AS/400 system on it. The AS/400 system requires the use of the function keys F1-F24. I can get F1-F12 to work, but can not figure out to get F13-F24 to function. Can anyone tell me if this is possible? Thank you!

Hi, I realise this is several month late but am just sorting the same issue. I am using Citrix on a MacBook Pro to access AS/400 or iSeies. I had to Settings and Mission Control where I could change the 'Show Desktop' and 'Show Dashboard' shortcuts as these are defaulted to be the F11 and F12 keys. Then the full F1 to F12 will work in conjunction with the fn key. To get F13 to F24 also use the shift key - fn + shift + F1. Another option is in Settings, Keyboard tick the 'Use all F1,F2 etc keys as standard function keys. Then the fn isnt required to access the F1 - F24 keys.

Thank you SO much! I could not figure it out for the life of me. I am also using Citrix to use AS400 and I didn't even think about going into Mission Control.

But one tip, on the Keyboard section of System Preferences (settings), you can default the function keys to work for F1-12 without having to us the fn key. So the function keys will work and to use F13-24 after deleting the Mission Control options, you only have to press shift + F1-12.

Thanks again!
