Exporting Photos - Partial Image

I'm working on backing up my photos to external hard drives. I keep getting random photos that only partially export. 1/3rd, 1/2, or the whole image exports as just white. On average one image per transfer has this problem. Something is causing it during the transfer, because it's not an error in the original file that is in Photos. If I re-transfer the image that has the error, it transfers like it's supposed to. I'm exporting to 3 separate hard drives (Airport and 2 other external drives). I transfer the same files 3 times in a row (once into each drive). Each time the error is on a different image on each drive, never consistently the same image getting an error on all 3 drives. I do the transfer by selecting the images I want then drag & drop to the external drive in the finder folder.

I'm using OS X Yosemite version 10.10.4 and Photos version 1.0.1.

I tried searching around to find posts with similar problems, but couldn't find any.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

*ADDITIONAL NOTE:

-I tried "Repair Library" and it didn't resolve the problem.

Update your system to the latest El Captian, 10.11.2 which will also update Photos to 1.3. Those updates fix a lot of basic problems with both the system and Photos. Then give it another go at exporting.

This problem occurs with all updates installed. I have the same problem and unfortunately it also occurs with shared albums (see my question Photos in shared album are missing parts of the image).

As a test launch Photos with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?

If it does log into another user account on your Mac and see if the problem persists there.

If yes again, boot into the Recovery volume (boot with the Command + R keys held down) and reinstall the system which will also reinstall Photos.

The problem might be the library and even repairing does not fix it.

Exports also fail for me on another mac with the same icloud photo library, so I doubt reinstalling the system would help.

I created a new user and tried it there with some sets of photos (without the icloud stuff), and I did not notice any problems (which might also be just luck, as it's only a random small number of photos affected).
