Panasonic PV-GS120 connect to 2015 5K Retina Imac

I have a Panasonic PV-GS120 mini DV camcorder that I would like to connect to my 2015 5K Retina Imac. Computer uses thunderbolt connections, so what cable or adaptor would be best to use. I want to get this right the first time, instead of spending $$$ on multiple possible solutions. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Judging by the Panasonic PV-GS120 manuals available online, the camera should come with a USB-to-mini/micro-USB cable, so you would connect one of the USB ports on your iMac, not Thunderbolt.

Marksman has one solution, however if you want speed use a Thunderbolt to Firewire adapter cable and connect the Firewire to your camera.
