remove Mac Cleaner

I just updated to OS 10.10.5 on my iMac and Advanced Mac Cleaner suddenly appeared on my Dock. I have read that this may be a troublesome application in general. I am concerned that it appeared uninvited during what I thought was a standard, prompted update process. They have an uninstaller download that requires my logon password. I do not feel comfortable with any of their resources. I have removed any associated files in the standard manner. Any advice or precautions you can offer would be appreciated.

Refer to my first comment.

It's not just a simple remove application and all is dandy. MegaBackup has found a way to regenerate a cache when I close the pop up. In fact, there is no MegaBackup or FileScan application. Frostwire which was the host program has been deleted. Therefore, Eric Root's uninstall screenprint will not help because there is no MegaBackup application to delete. I had to go through the entire library and delete anything remotely looking like MegaBackup or random numbers. Still it regenerates the deleted cache when I think I've deleted it in Library and safe to close the pop-up... I see it regenerate in Library as all the files shift down.

I think I may need to update my OSX, that could be the problem.
