I have to delete and re-download an app with in-app purchases. Do I lose the in-app purcchases

I Have two puzzle apps - Wasgij and Jan van Haasteren Puzzles, both of which I love. The apps were free but I have bought over time quite a lot of puzzles in both apps. However since last night I can't open either of those apps, they just keep loading...... I tried to switch off and on my Ipad but it did not help. I think that deleting and re-downloading the apps would most probably solve the problem but I am afraid that I will lose all my bought puzzles. I contacted ITunes but they were not able to help me. I would really appreciate any help, please?

HI,

so I finally heard from JVH Puzzles as well and they generally told me the same... To delete the app and download it again and restore purchases... So it's all good! It was really simple in the end, I just didn't want to risk losing all me purchases.

I have an email from Wasgij and they told me to delete the app and download it again and restore my purchases in Settings and it all works well, however I am still waiting to hear from the developer of the other jigsaw puzzles, the app is Jan van Haasteren Jigsaw Puzzles, so it is slightly annoying as I am slighotly hesitant to delete the app to lose all the puzzles I have bought as in-app purchases....

I would really appreciate if you have any bright idea? Thank you so much.

Well we seem to have had some success. Now for the Jigsaws.


I don't know which country you are located in but from the Ceaco.com address i guess you are in the USA. I probably have the same links here as you, that is ...

The link seems to suggest they are organised and open to reply. I also notice they have a Facebook page which I would have contacted had I been a member but so far I have resisted that. 😉


I would try to make a contact on your behalf but I have no address from you and it would be very unwise for you to publish it here. All the same, i will try another route and let you know.

I wrote to the US office a few minutes ago. I may get an answer later in the day and i will let you know. The situation will be the same in NZ and the USA, I expect. If you do make contact I will still allow this one to come back to me as to change things would simply complicate them. I am pretty sure that delete and reinstall will work ... but. Wiser to wait, methinks.
