i want to view resolution of images in finder window
File size is displayed but I would also like to view resolution of image. Can you tell me how to do this?

you have a number of data mixed here:
filesize in bits, pixel size in pixels, dpi (resolution) which is not shown anywhere but has to be set in the printer settings when you print. This has nothing to with Mac or PC or Operating System. It is basic that you understand that there is (almost) no correlation between these data. Learn what these data mean and decide what you want to accomplish before you ask more questions.

The Show View Options properties of a folder won't help you at all with the information you're trying to find. All it does is determine how big image icons will display in Icon View within folders, or on the desktop.
