Getting Strange Emails are they legit ?

Hi,

Wondering if i could get some adivce, For the past week iv been getting some strange email to the email i signed up with for my apple account.

Iv just got another today and thought id seek some advice or if i should do anything about this.

First Email was from : concierge@email.apple.com

Subject was :Your upcoming Genius Bar appointment

In the email i have : Sunday, September 13, 2015 12:50 p.m. Apple Store, Touchwood Centre

Which i haven't arranged at all and i dont even have any idea where this is.

Second email is this :

Again i haven't phoned apple, Made any appointments at all. So im unsure as what i should do ? Ignore them ?

First time iv ever had any emails from apple if this is apple....

Do not call any numbers or click any links as they may be phising scams. You can contact the Apple ID Security team at http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204169 to check that your Apple ID has not been compromised and to get help changing the password as further protection.

Those emails are both legitimate, but they may indicate that someone is sharing your Apple ID. If you are sure that no one is using your Apple ID or that if someone is they did not contact Apple you should change your Apple ID password immediately, and contact Apple account security as advised by Ralph.

Thank for the replies that's worrying then. I dont share my apple id with anyone and i only have the one apple device which is my ipad mini 2.

Iv changed my password myself, Iv also just changed my Email address so hopefully that will solve it.

Sounds good. Keep in mind that you do not have to "share" your information for it to be picked up...using your iPad on an unsecured public WiFi is a common way for others to capture the information. Eaves dropping whether looking over your shoulder or electronically happens regularly. You do not need to be paranoid about it, just cautious.

Another possibility for those letters is someone gave the wrong serial number for your device which then was matched to your equipment profile.
