Transfer call to Bluetooth headset

I am trying to make a call from my iwatch (For example from the favorite call list) and talk with my Bluetooth headset. I can not find a way to transfer the call to my Bluetooth headset and you have to talk either from your wrist or you can pickup the iphone and then transfer it to the headset from there.

any idea, or fix or something? at least iphone does recognize when headset is connected, by default sends the call to the headset.

That is not currently a feature of the Apple Watch. Depending on your headset, it may be simpler just to answer the call directly from the headset. Most have buttons you tap to answer a call. I have a BlueAnt Q3 that tells me who's calling and allows me to answer by voice.

My problem is different, I am already answering my calls directly from the headset when I receive a call and the headset is connected.

My issue is when the call has been initiated from the watch, I can not transfer the call directly to the headset.

It's an aspect of the same point Meg made. As things currently stand, there' doesn't appear to be a method to initiate a call from the Watch and have it handled by a headset.

This worked without issue for me until IOS 10. I would initiate a call from the watch, put my Platronics headset on, the iphone would detect the headset and the watch would hand-off the call to the Bluetooth device.

Now when I initiate a call from the watch the phone app on the iphone starts minimized. Since IOS 10 I have to maximize the phone app before the call will hand-off to the headset. This is really annoying and disfunctional.

Same thing happens when you initiate a call from the mac, it's really annoying. You have to tap the iPhone green bar to transfer the call to the headset.
