Windows support software won't finish downloading!!

Hello!

I am having issues downloading the Windows Support Drivers using Bootcamp Assistant. What happens is that bootcamp will download the drivers onto my flashcard, which is a good 16GB card, but stop around the 80%-ish and will not continue downloading on bit.

According to the installation rules off of the Apple Support page, the instructions asks to download these drivers plus those of the that specific Mac, combine them and then press yes when asked to replace some files. I am unable to do this since Bootcamp Assistant won't finish downloading.

Any help downloading these drivers will be greatly appreciated!!

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)

Have you tried BC Assistant download with a USB2 flash drive?

According to the installation rules off of the Apple Support page, the instructions asks to download these drivers plus those of the that specific Mac, combine them and then press yes when asked to replace some files.

Yes I am using a USB drive in a USB Port. 2.0 that has been formatted to MS-FAT32

Can you start OS X Terminal and look for any files in

/Library/Application\ Support/Bootcamp

Can you type the following command in Terminal and post the output? (This will show established network connections).

netstat -an | grep ESTABLISHED

Yes, my Mac has active internet connections. However, the command prompt is too huge to screenshot.

I'm currently connected directly through my modem.

I just checked those requirements and everything looks good on that part....

Do I really NEED these windows support drivers that Boot Camp Assistant provides??

Most of your Apple-specific hardware depends on the BC drivers. If your Windows installation is functional, you can try downloading the software manually from System requirements to install Windows on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support by choosing your Windows version an following links as needed.

The other option is to use a tool like https://github.com/timsutton/brigadier to get the package.

Thanks! I essentially did this after I got frustrated waiting for Apple to download the drivers using boot camp assistant. Thanks for your help!

Yes, I do have the correct drivers. At least I hope I have the WHOLE drive because this is the second time I install bootcamp and the first time was a nightmare.
