Mac Mini overheats while playing Hearthstone

I have a 2014 Mac Mini that I bought a few weeks ago. Whenever I play Hearthstone, after a while the screen starts to get colorful splotches and then the game crashes after a few seconds. This usually means overheating. The fan is running fast and the top is quite warm. I never have this issue doing anything else with the Mac.

Can this thing really not handle anything which uses the gpu? I haven't tried any other games because I don't except integrated graphics to do much, but Hearthstone isn't that demanding of a game.

Mac mini, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Install a temp and fan speed monitoring app to measure temps and fan speed.

There is iStat or Macs Fan Control as well as others.

What processes are aare using CP? Look under CPU tab in Activity Monitor

Try resetting the SMC

Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)

Are the ventilation opening unobstructed and is the Mac located where there is air circulation (not in a cubbyhole)
