iPhone Reservation Change Date/Time

I was lucky enough to get a reservation for my first iPhone (6s+). At the time I placed the order, I picked a time I would be available (Sept 25th).


Since then, I need to go on a business trip that overlaps the time. I'll be back and can pickup later the next day (Sept 26th).


Is it possible to delay my appointment so I can pickup the phone? I assume if it's possible, I have to go into the store to try and re-arrange the reservation appointment.

It was the first place I looked, and it isn't so helpful. The wording on the first part makes me think I might be able to, but have to talk to the store. Was kinda just seeking confirmation since it takes me about an hour to drive to the closest store.


Here is what the email states ... bolded the word online.


Can I change or cancel my reservation?
You can’t change or cancel your reservation online. If, however, you’d like to change the model you reserved, a Specialist can check the availability of a different iPhone when you come in at your scheduled time. Due to high demand, the availability of some models and reservation times may be limited.
What if I’m late for my reservation time?
If you’re late, or if you miss your scheduled time altogether, we may not be able to hold the model you reserved, and you may have to make another reservation. So please arrive as close to your check-in window as possible.

Happened by an Apple store today.


The phone is held for up to 3 hours from the time of your reservation. At that point, it's open season on it. Since my appointment is later on in the day, I might be able to reserve it online Saturday morning ... but it'll be limited stock at that point.


This basically means I won't be able to get the phone I want ... oh well.

I believe you have several other options to get exactly what you want:


1. Since it sounds like you know exactly what you want, you could order it from the online Apple Store and then either pick it up at the Apple Store or have it delivered. If you need Apple Store assistance afterward, they can provide it for you.


2. As launch day approaches, you will be able to make a later reservation. Yes, popular iPhone 6S+ models (e.g., Rose Gold) may not be available very quickly (e.g., Sept. 26), but the wait should be much shorter than it was for the Apple Watch, for example.
