Is it possible to feather the edge of a shape in Keynote?

Not in Keynote, thats a job for photoshop or equivalent.

Thanks for the reply...

I imagine Apple will add such an obvious feature at some point. In the meanwhile, I'll happily live with hard edges... way too clumsy to create it in an image editor and any change means going back and editing it there.

Not at all, when there isn't a tool in Keynote, exporting to an image editor is standard practice;

paste shape into editor, select blur tool draw over the edge of shape, save as PNG all of 10 seconds worth.
