"No cities found" in Dashboard Weather Widget, again.
It's been an issue for the last 2 days at least.

Is it working for you?
I have exactly the same issue on my MacBook. Works fine on my Mac Pro, however. In my case, it started when I tried to change the city I wanted weather for. I can't get it to display any new city. Reinstalling defaults it to Cupertino for me. I also tried restoring both the widget, its prefs, and the Dashboard prefs from Time Machine. Nothing works. Guess I'll have to kiss my Weather widget goodbye, since I don't care about the weather in Cupertino.
The odd part is that I have 1 existing widget for Boston that still works, and I can add new Cupertino ones, but can't edit either one.
Whatever you do, don't try to change the city on the widget that still works.
Actually, that's not an issue. It won't change, but if you restart the Mac, the previous setting is still works.
Yes. Based on the many times I've seen this lately, it appears to be a Yahoo server problem.
I'd be grateful if somebody would post an update to this thread if the Yahoo server problem is ever fixed. Meanwhile, I've uninstalled the weather widget on my MacBook Pro, since I don't really care about the weather in Cupertino.
My widget has been down for a week as well with the same issue (no cities found). I might just move to Cupertino... problem solved.
Hello, it seems the problem come from Yahoo, who is providing the cities, since one week.
See this discussion:
If you tried to change the city and your widget stopped working, replace the plist "widget-com.apple.widget.weather.plist" in your preferences with one from from a Time Machine back up or from another Mac which is still displaying the city you want. Restart your Mac.
The Time Machine recovery doesn't seem to have worked for me. I'll try moving the .plist from another Mac where the Weather widget still works.
