game center broken in ios 9

9.1 beta4 working for me Game Center working as usual

Just to be sure : you had this game center issue, this was resolved with iOS 9.1 beta 3. You updated to iOS 9.1 beta 4 and game center is still working ?

Went from 9.02 to 9.1 beta 4 this morning, and Game Center opens, as do all previously frozen games

Ok so....i rang support. was a total disaster. he told me to wipe the device as he couldn't get it to recover. Wish he had have asked me when my last back up was FIRST. Stupid. Anyway......

so i went into an apple store today - to express frustration to a genius at the bar (note they need to sell wine to make it a more relaxing experience).

The guy - felt sorry for him. I was there for 2.5 hours. Essentially had to strip the iPad bare. Install it like its a new device (i.e. no restore). Then tried to log in...no game centre. so we did a restore from last iCloud backup. Failed twice and took FOREVER. Quite literally last 2 mins took over 20 mins....til i got frustrated and left the store to do it at home. it looked like 99% chance a hardware fault had corrupted my backups.

so i did the restore again at home while i went out (expecting a disaster) -- come home to find it has restored. Quite a bit of data loss with a sync fail message......BUT game centre was back!!!! Hooray.

Give that apple guy a bottle of champers for his patience and persistence.

So try it.....please do a backup to your computer/time machine and iCloud to be sure.

Then wipe it and do a clean restore. I was sceptical. But it worked. Easy enough to redownload apps that didn't sync and i have my data backed up in documents apps so all sweet. Much happier.

Might still get a newer iPad though soon just in case its hardware related.

I updated my Ipad mini to IOS 9.0.2 and now I cannot use the game centre, it is just a blank white screen and when i try to go through the settings to sign in/out of game centre it freezes, also when i am playing games they just freeze or the game suddenly restarts.

On some games such as Sims Freeplay I cannot access the cloud to update/upload my game progress either.

Anybody know when Apples are going to release another update to fix these problems?

Hello everyone! I am EXTREMELY upset because of this stupid GC problem. I have been an Apple user for.. Almost 7 years now. Extremely satisfied until now. I am running iOS 9.0.2 on an iPad mini 1. My GC app will not load as of sitting for 2 hours. The settings app is hopeless. I have around 8-9 games installed, but around 30 on GC. when i try to delete a game connected to GC, my iPad resprings after about 3 mins. I have all these symptoms, and also.. This bug is starting to "corrupt" my iPad. Games are glitching extremely largely, I am randomly losing save data, and there's no way to do cloud backup to Game center. My clock is stuck at 2 minutes fast ( probably unrelated but worth saying ). My iPad takes a significantly long time to reboot now.. ? Also, I tried to play the new Need for Speed No Limits and Madden NFL Mobile. Both games are STUCK on the loading screen after 30 m- 1 hr. SO MAD AT APPLE. Also, Madden USED to work before iOS 9.. I used to have the iOS 9 beta, all the way until the public release. I've tried to reinstall the beta profile but Safari freezes, so no luck there. UGH, I HATE APPLE.

I confirm that game center is still working with ios 9.1 beta 4!

I Recently replied to one these millions of blogs that I backed up restored my ipad2 and was now able to without freezing or getting kicked back to the home screen. That was premature. My issues have continued and still have no Game Center.

Release iOS 9.1 will be available in November 2015.Too long to wait

I can confirm that game center is fixed after upgrading from 9.0.1 to 9.1 beta 4

iOS 9.1 beta 4 working with Game Center. It takes 15 seconds to open Game Center application on iPhone 4s.

iOS 9.1 beta 4 like iOS 9 has many software problems, it works worse then iOS 8.4.1 , but little better then iOS 9.

iOS 9.1 works slowly then iOS 8.4.1 on iPhone 4s, but little faster then iOS 9 (iOS 9.0.1 , ios 9.0.2).

Does anyone else find it a bit bizarre that they released ios 9.0 knowing full well this was a reported issue and then have been carefully testing a fix through four betas before releasing to the public officially? When did Apple suddenly start caring so much about the quality of their software releases? Hopefully we get the official update soon.
