Anyone know why the recently added news app is missing from my iOS 9 download I'm in the uk

I had the same problem, go into settings and change the region to USA and reboot it worked a treat and the news icon is there.. its very good.
I believe the UK will get it in a day or so , so you can always change your region back to UK later

I'm in Sweden and I didn't get the news app, the iCloud Drive, the low battery mode and the new wallpapers. I've got an iPad Air 2. Is there something wrong with the uodate or am I the only one?!
I have an iPad mini and didn't get the low battery mode. I think it may be for iPhone only.
Battery is in Settings. You install the iCloud Drive app by going to Settings>>iCloud>>iCloud Drive>> Show on Home screen

I think it is a bug. I'm in the US and it has not worked on phone at all. Changing regions, switching it back, rebooting, nothing. When you go back to the United States, you get the Welcome to News and the spinning symbol at the bottom. So I think this is a bug where some in the US have it working and others don't.
You are the only one in the US who has problems with it. Perhaps your software is corrupted. Restore from a backup or restore as new.
He is not the only one, I am having this problem as well and can't even find anything online about it...

Same here. I have an iPod touch 5 ios 9 and I live in China but ipod was bought in USA so I want US news!! I changed my Region to US like recommended and the News app is still not available.
I gave the method described a go - I changed language to English (US) and it rebooted; took a while! Then changed region to US and it rebooted again, very quick this time. No sign of the new icon. I rebooted again, and it appeared.
Success! Having said that, I'm not impressed at either the speed or the range of sources or topics I was offered. For the time being I will stick with Flipboard and see if it improves.
I know battery is in settings. It only shows "battery percentage".It does not show " low battery mode".
THis is is on an iPad so I'm assuming it's only on the iPone.
Same here, I am in Norway, and News is missing after iPhone upgrade to IOS 9... I did the 'change region to US' trick, got the News app up, but then when I change back to Norway, it disappears. So same as everybody here I guess: wait until Apple makes it available here...
No news app in Canada yet either? Has anyone heard of an anticipated timeline?
