Hi katkouk ... I have also problem after trying to update to iOS9. You at least had something happening. In my case, my iPad Air 2 just doing loops (restarting and restarting and restarting) :-( ... I've tried to do restore via iTunes, but I am having the very same thing :-(

This thing happens EVERY time when Apple upgrades their operating systems :-(

I really don't know what to do?! I might walk-in in one of their shops tomorrow and ask THEM to do it for me :-(

Hi, I am having the same problem and also wondering what the "magic" fix is to turn off find my phone when you can't access the phone - did you find a solution yet please?

I've updated my iPhone 6 and my iPad with no problems at all, but now I get this when I updated my parents iPad Mini - wouldn't mind if it had happened to my own device! Typical!

Thanks for trying to help, but my problem is somewhat different. I didn't back up the photos & other data I had on my phone, including the only photos & videos I have of my mother before I died. I've tried various methods to try to do a back-up now, but the passcode I created during the update process, & I'm sure it's the correct one, doesn't work to allow access to transfer the photos to my computer. That's where the hang-up seems to be in the update process through iTunes & all attempts to transfer data. I've tried to access iCloud to determine if anything is backed up there, & I get the message that I need to set up iCloud on my iOS device 1st in order to access it through Windows. I've tried other software that purports to be able to transfer data from a nonfunctional phone, but that doesn't work either. I could have chosen to do a "restore" during this whole mess, but as I understand, that will cause me to lose the photos that are so precious to me. At this point, I've been in contact with Apple Support, & am hoping that the Apple engineers can come up with a solution that works for my needs.

I do not know if you read my post where I copy the instructions step by step to solve the problem of frozen screen where I could not slide to update.

I did nothing in the iPad, could not get there to the settings. What I did was to connect the iPad to the computer and through Itunes I located the Ipad device and holding the Shift key while I clicked where said "search program". NOT where it says restore the Ipad because if I did it I would have lost all the information. Doing this opens a screen for browsing to search the file of the software IOS 8.4.1. I picked it and began to discharge the file into the Ipad and replacing th IOS version 9 which is what gave me the problem. Previously I had already downloaded the 8.4.1 IOS software to my computer, verifying that the version is compatible with the model of my Ipad. All the instructions to find the right program is in what I posted and in the links that exist there. My iPad is now operating normally and I have not lost absolutely nothing of what I had there.

Good luck!

Today (21st Sep 2015) I had a phone conversation with Apple Support UK. They were very kind as usual, I've told them that I went thru ALL possible solutions, including recommendations here and that was it. Unfortunately, this is the first time they could NOT help me, so I've decided to reset my iPad Air 2 to factory settings. Everything is now working properly and I have the latest iOS9. VERY HAPPY finally, after 3 days of troubles 🙂

In my case, I used the upgrade option.I do not use the restore option because I thought that if I did it my Ipad would lose all the information I had there and my Ipad could come back to the factory settings. I have updated now IOS9 and I had no problems. Someone recommended me that the updates should be made directly with the IPAD connected to the computer because it is less risk and I did it.
