screen unresponsive after ios9 update

i also grabbed the update on my iPhone 5s today, my screen is frozen. with a "5 JKL" logo, it will not respond to touch at all, or respond to ON/Off.

If you updated using the "over the air" feature on the phone, try again to set the phone back to factory settings, this time using iTunes. Before you do, make sure to have a backup to restore your data from.

Did you use any 3rd party software when it happened?

Restoring the phone without any backup data could rule out 3rd party software issues.

If it did not happen again, it might have been a glitch. If it comes back, restoring it again to factory settings wild be the way to go.

I am also getting the same issue. My iPhone 5 has been unresponsive multiple times since my update to iOS9 last night. I need to wait for a good 30-40 seconds before the screen turns on again. The scrolling has been sluggish and freezes. I've reduced Motion in accessibility, which seems to have helped with the choppy scrolling, though has not helped the random non-responsiveness when I want to actually use my phone.

HOW DO REVERT BACK TO PREVIOUS IOS?

Have been seeing the same issue on an iPhone 6 plus, iPhone 5s, iPad 2, New iPad and iPad Air.

It's extremely frustrating and the freeze can last anywhere from 30 seconds to a few minutes, but usually the touch interface starts to respond after a while without hard resetting the device.

Same problem here, hard reset is the only solution. Happens every two or three days.

Hi, I'm facing the same issue; shall be taking my iPhone 6 to the nearby Apple store tomorrow.

Noted the same on iPhone6 (Verizon). I receive a call, can answer without a problem, but then the after I hang up, the passcode screen is unresponsive to touch. After a few minutes, it might become responsive, but I've had to power of and on to get access when that doesn't happen. Significant problem.

Is Apple listening?

9.0.1 update has helped a little, though my phone is still choppy when swipping and there are still slight delays in response. Not a very "Apple" experience still...

I've seen minimal delays on iPads, but iPhone 6 plus has had the issue become so problematic that even 4 hard resets in a row did not recover it.

It feels like it may be a network interaction issue, or possibly an issue with some background process (new spotlight app search?) having inappropriately high system priority.

My iPhone 6 screen is not working after upgraded to IOS 9 and also can't able to switch off the mobile. Since week i am not able to use the phone and not getting what to do. Anybody know the service center in Pune?

Note ; I have tried to open the phone... but i can't table to open to remove the battery and put back(its my bad luck).

Any help would be gr8
