iCloud Backup Broken After iOS 9 Upgrade

iCloud Backup on both my iPhone and iPad have been working fine for years until I upgraded to iOS 9. After the upgrade it said my latest backup was "Never". When I pressed "Backup Now" the progress bar flashed quickly then went back to saying my latest backup was "Never" (no error messages).

I decided to try turning iCloud Backup off and back on again. When I try to turn in on it says "iCloud Backup Failed. There was a problem enabling iCloud Backup.".

Any ideas or suggestions on how to fix?

iPhone 6, iOS 9

I have this problem too immediately after updating my iPad mini retina (model ME280LL/A) after upgrading to iOS 9.

previous version was 8.4.1

I have just completed a backup before the upgrade.

guess I better not update any of my other iDevices?

This is an major problem.

Solved???? are you serious?

Let me tell you what happen in my IPhone 6 after I have ios 9, every single time that I tried to make a backup said:

Backing up... Estimating time remaining...

Then backing up...

2 hours remaining...

After a while, or probably 1/3 of the backup it crash and said:

The last backup could not be completed.

Now we have a lot of users with this problem, so is not solved at all, but I only have this issue with my iPhone 6 plus, not with my ipads, or other devices, probably its solved for other devices, but for iPhone 6 plus with ios version 9.2.1 is not, so Apple we love your brand but please solve it!!!

I'm attaching you a picture, please let me know what more do you need to fix it. Thank you

Mine is identical to what it was when I initially chimed in, it would seem that is the case for many. If it's bugging you, unfollow it, because basically everyone here still speaking up has done all the prescribed b. s. and to no avail. Starting a new one will just be one more that makes it harder on those searching for help and will lead to a repeat of the same steps here. Matter of fact, if you're all getting this, ABSOLUTELY do not start a new thread. P. S. Fixed and solved are identical terms in this kind of case.

The issue hasn't evolved. It's the same as it was in bloody September. If you had new info to share, I imagine you'd do so rather than advise everyone to start the process over again. What will be gained from doing that? A cursory search led me to many one or two post threads with no answers beyond the standard fare at the beginning of this one and this one itself. I don't mean initially either, I mean mere moments ago. There's nothing new to be found, same as always- initial easy stuff to rub out phone and hope for best.

This issue hasn't been solved at all.

It remains the same for me : impossible to achieve an icloud backup on my iphone 5s running ios 9.2.1. "Last backup could not be completed".

This troubleshooting began after updating from ios 8 and remains with all the ios 9 version.

I never had this problem before ios 9 and I have no problem on my iPad mini running ios 7 on the same icloud account.

I'm not a new poster so there is absolutely no reason to start a new thread.

I have exactly the same problem since the end of October, back ups failings (this is what has led to the fight between Apple and the FBI as the San Bernidinos guys phone back up from iCloud was incomplete as back up had stopped working...but I digress). I've done everything on the thread and have spoken to apple, I eventually got to talk to someone in the executive team who put me on to a tech in the States, he loaded a profile onto my phone and made me re-create the incident 3 times. Each time he told me exactly when the back-up would fail, so it's obvious at their end (Apple) that they know what the problem is and how it occurs. Anyway they took that data and a few weeks later another iOS update came out that didn't solve the problem.

Personally I think that it's a major issue (I know two friends whose phones has started to have the same problem over the last few months) and its getting worse, it's looking like the only solution is to replace the handset and start over with a new Apple ID. What a mess, and the reason no one is answering this thread or fixing is is because it likely affects millions of customers - many of which probably don't even realise they have a problem yet.
