I'm sure everyone has noticed that iOS 9.0.2 pushed out today (?) did nothing to address this POP email issue (unfortunately!)
Have sent several feedback forms requesting help with this email issue but no one from Apple Care has acknowledged or responded. I tried calling Apple Care but the agent had no idea how to help or even what the issue was.
The only work around I have found is to keep emails on the server (or maybe it's just random), which for my needs, defeats the whole point of using POP. I don't know if Apple is trying to drive users to IMap or just an engineering issue, but there must be a lot of folks very inconvenienced by this email flaw. It's way more than an inconvenience to have permanently lost all my inbox and sent....!
I guess being frustrated will not bring back all my emails and hours of time spent trying to resolve this, but I did expect much more from Apple; and hope they respond soon with a fix or at least communicate with users on this issue...? This seems very similar to the OS X wi-fi issues that impacted many users this spring and was all over the media and took months to address with an update. I certainly will not be eager to "upgrade" to El-Capitan anytime soon after this; and Android is now sounding interesting for my next mobile device. Glad to hear that some members of this forum have been contacted by Apple at least....
Thanks everyone for sharing your insight and assistance on this issue and please continue to update with any news or solutions.
Many thanks for the help and information.
