After ios9 update my emails with attachments won't open and say "message not yet downloaded from server". They were there previously. How do I get them back?

All my email attachments are unopenableafter the ios9 upgrade. Anyone else with this issue? How do I get them back? The emails just say message not yet downloaded from server.

"Most users" is correct. I have been on 9.2.1 since it was released. The Mail App is working much better but I still occasionally have some items I have put in trash end up with the dreaded message. Very random... I still have my case open and have sent screen prints to my senior advisor. They do still appear to be working on the issue though I don't imagine it has high priority due to many other problems that have recently surfaced. Since you still have to trick the system to bring up a POP Account if your email provider also provides IMAP, there are probably a small percentage of people suffering this issue.

Got the same problems on 4 iOS devices (all upgraded to 9.3.2, all email accounts (3 accounts), I tried deleting account and recreating, no luck, the attachments do not show up, (the attachment pin is there in the list of emails, but when you click on the email it is not showing) The attachment are showing fine with outlook on MAC notebook, so no issue with the provider. I am using IMAP. This started since upgrade to 9.3.2 .... DO NOT UPGRADE ! (probably too late if you are reading this :-) Pls fix Apple. Serious bug ! My devices are used on the road to quickly see attachments for the job, it has serious impacts on my job! Cheers. Erik

This is odd. I had the problems with IOS 9, but with IOS 10 I have not had this issue. The only remaining glitch that I have is occasionally my POP3 account will show a warning icon next to it, saying my logon ID or password is incorrect and my messages could not be downloaded. I have learned just to ignore that and soon the messages are downloaded. Or, it will show that the account is offline. I click the banner to put the account back online and all is good. But, the issue of having messages with no body or messages that I see once and then disappear after 24 hours is no longer happening for me.
