iOS9 Airdrop to Mac not working

I just got a new iPhone 6s last weekend and my AirDrop is to working. It was working fine with my iPhone 5S with the latest version of El Capitan. I tried the suggestion about restrictions and that did nothing. Between constant app lock ups since the latest El Capitan update and now this issue with AirDrop, I'm thinking El Capitan still has some major issues!!!

Mine mysteriously started working 2 nights ago and that was before the latest iOS update push. It may have been related to troubleshooting an unrelated issue with my iPhone 6S I was working with Sprint to resolve. Hopefully it will stick!

I had similar problems but found a solution. My Mac pro could see my iphone but not the other way. I have tried to log in and log out, enable disable wifi and bluetooth but nothing has helped.

You need an other idevice to make things work. On my iPad I enabled Airdrop and it instantly recognized my Mac pro and iPhone and all of a sudden my iPhone could see My Mac Pro and iPad as well. Since then all my devices are working fine with Airdrop.

Same problem ipad & iphone on IOS 9 ok but invisible on Yosemite, but I saw today there is a security issue with airdrop on Yosemite and iOS 8.4.

I saw this trouble on IOS 9 Beta and submitted it, but definitively not resolved

Exactly the same problem here. Neither my iMac nor my 2014 MBP can see the iPhone, even if they can see each other.

Same for me. Mac to Mac also iOS to iOS seems fine but Mac to iOS 9 not working at all for me..

Same here, iOS 9 + OS X 10.10 Yosemite. Was working fine before updating to iOS 9.

Same here, iMac 5K, iphone 6 plus and Air2 with iOS 9, not working. Cant believe this basic functionality is NOT tested!!! Spotlight search does not show contacts in iOS 9 Bravo Apple

Same here: iphone 5s and ipad mini 2 (both iOS 9) with new mac mini (with yosemite).

Has anyone heard of a fix for this yet, airdrop not working between my mac & iPhone 6 is a real pain....pretty crucial feature that needs addressing asap :-(..

Exactly the same problem here, ios9 to OSX 10.10.5. Both mac and phone stopped seeing each other after running the iOS9 update last week.

use this feature all the time, so this is driving me nuts!
