iOS9 Airdrop to Mac not working

My Backbook Pro RT (late 2012 running OS X 10.10.5) can see and send to my iPhone 5 (iOS 9.0.1) via AirDrop. The problem is with the iPhone which cannot see the MBP in AirDrop.

This only happened after I updated the iPhone to iOS 9

Yes, the problem is definitely on the iOS9 side. Upgrading to El Capitan on the Mac side (pre-release version) does not help.

Omg how many time we must wait for fix it?????

Had a standard email from Apple Support asking for details. At least they are taking an interest and we may get a fix soon. Perhaps even tomorrow when El Capitan is released. Don't hold your breath!

This is really really frustrating, I have same problem. Macbook Pro now doesn't see my iOS 9 iPhone 6 and iPad mini. Grrr, I use this all the time. Hurry up Apple.. I am banking on El Capitan to fix this!!

I had the same problem. Neither of my devices (MacBook Pro with El Capitan GM, iPad Air with iOS9, iPhone 5 with iOS9) could see my iPhone 6 (iOS9) in AirDrop

And - as silly as it might sound - changing iPhone 6 name helped. Once I did that - it did appear on all other devices.

Checked now and it does not showing again on Mac (it is ok on other devices)... So I am on the same boat as all of you ;-)

Same Problem here , Air Drop was barely working before but , was working , and now since the IOS 9.0.1 Update , i have not been able to send/receive any file thru Air drop between my MBP OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 (2014 model) and my Iphone 6+ 128GB recently updated .

This is such a pity , i can't wait to see a resolution about this .

Same issue here - iPhone 6Plus, running iOS 9.0.1 and a MacBook Air running Yosemite, and no sign of an AirDrop connection between them, yet the Air can see the iPhone, as it suggests its as a connection in the wifi networks...

AirDrop has now degenerated from 'flaky & unreliable' to 'unusable'...

After I updated my iPhone 6+ with iOS 9.0.1, it won't able to using Airdrop connect to my MacBook pro 10.10.5. Really sad for this as I rely on this function a lot.

Macbook Air and iMac (Yosemite) see each other in airdrop, but neither see the brand new iphone 6s (9.0.1).

I have the same issue than you.

I was on chat with Apple, and we must upgrade our Yosemite to El Capitan to solve this issue.

Here (in France) the upgrade will be available this night.

IN pre relase of El Capitan versione, this bug is still present. I hope i have right but im not totally convinced...
