iOS9 Airdrop to Mac not working

Trying to connect iPhone 6+ iOS9 to 2013 iMac OS X 10.10.5 via Airdrop but not showing up on iMac or iPhone, worked perfectly before iOS 9.

iPhone can Airdrop to another iPhone and iMac can Airdrop to another Mac, but not iPhone to/from Mac.

iOS update was originally done OTA and have reinstalled through iTunes.

Have tried all suggestions I have come across but still they won't connect.

Anyone have similar problems?

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5), 21.5 in 2.9GHZ i5 16 GB

Update of 9.0.2 complete and El Capitan done.......still no Airdrop between my MacBook Air and my iPhone 5s.....hope you've had better luck

This has been a problem on El Capitan and iOS9 beta. Phone to phone works, but OS X El Capitan does not see the phone. ugh.

Exactly the same here. Problem started after installing iOS9 - nothing improved with installing elCapitan. Worked well with iO9 and Yosemite.

9.0.2 is available , upgrading it now , but looking at this , i seriously doubt that it'll do the trick .

Well, we're beating a dead horse.. all updates failed to solve it.

Someone suggested renaming the phone, but that does not help.

According to this (http://www.wired.com/2015/09/hack-brief-upgrade-ios-9-now-avoid-bluetooth-iphone -attack/) i would say Airdrop has/had a significant security problem which hasn't been solved yet by apple. But why should it work properly from Iphone-Iphone but not in a Iphone-Macbook connection??

Same for me: nothing changed since iOS 9.0.2 and Capitan.

El Capitan installed. No difference whatsover. I still believe the issue is with the Apple Bluetooth chips being selective as to what they connect to.

Very bad. I called the apple support. In a very long call and chat tthe supporters have no solution for.

But the great one was on tuesday at the german support that they have no entries in their database about this issue.

In the moment I have installed El Capitan and IOS 9.0.2, BUT Airdrop will not running.

With IOS 8.4 was all once OK.
