I would like to share my method which I got it worked on my Macbook Pro Retina (mid 2012), but doesn't work on the Macbook Pro (mid 2012).
Service Center replaced my iPhone 6+ due to some issue and then I updated to iOS9. After updated to iOS9, my Macbook Pro Retina is no longer show up in iOS AirDrop. Did my research and tried many method, I got it work, below are the method I have tried and got it working again.
Reset PRAM
- Shutdown Macbook
- Turn On Macbook and Press & Hold these key: Cmd+Opt+P+R (release after you hear the boot sound)
Delete Bluetooth Preference File
- Remove "com.Apple.Bluetooth.plist" at .../Library/Preferences. And then reboot system.
Network, Set Service Order
- Go to System Preference > Network
- Click Setting (gear symbol) below > Set Service Order.
- Click on drag to re-order the list by moving "Bluetooth PAN" to the Top as First, and move "Bluetooth DUN" as second.
Sharing Option
- Go to System Preference > Sharing
- Tick and enable the "Bluetooh File Sharing" option (i have got another "File Sharing" enabled too)
Disable Firewall (testing purpose only)
- Go to System Preference > Security & Privacy
- Firewall tab > Turn Off
In addition, sometime, iOS9 is still not seeing my Macbook in AirDrop. What I do? make sure my Macbook is active at "AirDrop" discovery by everyone. And then I just open up the Bluetooth setting page, THEN iOS9 will detected my Macbook.
I would not be able to assure the methods above will work for yours, I just hope to help out and share the method works for my case. If necessary, please do the backup or remember the setting before make change.
