Up Next feature in Podcasts

Has anyone figured out the "Up Next" feature in podcasts. Is the list invisible? Why am I questioned about it each time I want to simply play an episode? No longer can I simply add episodes to the on-the-go playlist and circle back later. Now its invisible, uncustomable, and pops up in my face overtime I push play. What a step backwards.

In case anyone is looking, the Play Next playlist queue has been relocated in IOS11.

Click on the currently playing bar at the bottom (if it's blank then play something)
It will zoom in on the currently playing item
Scroll up and the Play Next queue is there.

I've been trying this for a while and I can't find any "Clear Up Next" option in any screen or popup. I'm using iOS 9.1. Anyone have more information?

I solved this by creating a new station called On The Go, and added all my podcasts. I set it to contain unplayed only and play oldest to newest. It does play them without prompting between. You can't get a full list and edit the order like in the old On The Go, but it's workable...

You’re correct. I am using the same methodology. Its why I deleted their app.
