With IOS 8.4 my screen would go to sleep in 2 minutes when using guided access. Once I upgraded to IOS 9 the screen never shuts off. Why? I dont recall an enable screen sleep feature in IOS 8, but it did.

I have 3 ipad mini 3's. They all have the same problem, but when it goes to sleep, I have to do a had reset to get it to wake up.
I'm having the same issues. iPads that I put in to Guided Access are impossible to wake up after they lock. I have to hold down the home+power button until it resets. It's very frustrating. Have you had any luck finding a solution?
I found a solution. You use corporate e-mail. There is a tuning in this exchange which is installed by administrator. Your corporate data will be protected better if your mobile will be blocked automatically. That why the selector "never" is missing.
I realized that guided access is only broken while using the Safari "add to home" mode. It will work correctly on all other apps, and even the Safari app itself, just not on any links which have been added to the home screen from Safari.
