On iOS 9 now. Calendars and contacts won't sync (exchange, iCloud, gmail or subscribed iCal).

I have an iPhone 6. I updated my phone to iOS 9 and since then my contacts and calendars won't sync. I can view everything that was already in my calendar before the update. But any additions, modifications made on my phone don't make it to the server and anything added or modified on the server doesn't make it to my phone. Also, i have a subscribed iCal calendar that I try to delete but when I try to view its properties in the settings app it crashes the settings app and takes me to the home screen.

I couldn't get contacts to sync after updating to IOS 9.2.1. However I finally did get it work by selecting "Windows Contacts" in the "Sync With" line under "Info" in itunes. It happily sync'd my one windows contact. Then I selected "Outlook" under Sync With and it synced all of the outlook contacts. I guess this step initialized something that wasn't quite right... ymmv.

I'm a new iPhone user and I'm having the same issue. I added outlook and gmail and they don't synchronize not even the email contacts. I was a blackberry user and finally changed to Apple, I work with my phones and I send several mails/day, something this phone is not letting me do because the contacts are not sync'd. I have and iPhone 6, iOS 9.2.1. I tried deleting the accounts and setting them again. It did not work.

Please I need a fast and simple solution, I'm just a beginner in Apple.

Thanks!

Full credit to majabuna for the solution - at least on my iPhone 6+, iOS 9.2.1.

All you have to do is make any edit in the "Notes" field to any Contact on your iPhone and . . . that's it. Done. The phone syncs in a second or two and captures all changes to all Contacts. (Both ways. Make a change in Google Contacts on your Mac or PC and it syncs to your iPhone. Make a Change to the Contact on your iPhone and it syncs in Google Contacts on your Mac or PC.)

FYI

Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Fetch New Data [set to "Push"; checked "Manually" at bottom of screen] -> Gmail [set to "Fetch"]

On iOS 9 now. Calendars and contacts won't sync (exchange, iCloud, gmail or subscribed iCal).
