Yes, tt's a scam. They're banking on the fact that many people are ashamed of looking at certain web sites. The scam plays on their guilt to get them to pay money.

Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History and Website Data. And, of course, don't give them any money. Personally, I'd try to avoid sites that have those pop ups. There are lots of other adult websites out there. 😁

I Also received the same warning last night so his is a scam right???? please help I am 17 and worried sick about this

It's a scam, however, there is a torrent client app out in the wild that is infected with ransomware. It won't affect your iPhone, but if you have recently updated a torrent app your computer is at risk.

I Never downloaded anything I just clicked on a commonly used site and it popped up thank you so much for the help

I was just teasing a little. It's an effective scam because it's very scary and because a large number of people download things from, shall we say, suspect sites and feel a bit guilty about it.

Best of luck.

You can't prevent them completely. You can avoid sites that have been a problem in the past. You can avoid the sorts of sites that are more likely to have them ("adult" sites are a big culprit). Just remember not to panic when you see messages like that.
