After installing iOS 9 the push notifications for apps like whatsapp are not working correctly.
No sound or vibrate when I get a message? which is rather annoying.
Also when I take a photo inside the app the volume for the music drops to zero.
I have a 6+ and a 6 and they both have the same problems.
Anyone know if someone is working on a fix?

Users are experiencing push failures in all sorts of apps. If you read Fishboy above, this may explain why it is not a particular app problem but an Apple pusproblem. And the last IOS update was yesterday, and it hasn't done a darn thing to help.
After going through three months of push notifications not working properly, making several visits to Genius, and numerous phone calls to AppleCare, my new iPad Pro is finally working! I made another email call to AppleCare Online 10 days ago, and this technician knew immediately what to do. It turns out that is was not my iPad after all, but my router that had issues. With me not knowing a thing about routers, the technician expertly led me through the correct steps. As with anything else, it appears that getting a knowledgeable helper is the key. I just wanted to post on this thread to let others know not to give up and to keep trying, like I did, until they luck into an Apple technician who knows her/her stuff.
Facing the notification problem since yesterday. Didn't notice until I open WhatsApp to check something, realized there are lot of messages and I didn't receive any notification at all. Reboot the phone, then notification from LINE, Facebook, Outlook all is coming in. Thought is the phone hang, by the way I'm using iPhone 5S iOS 9.3.3. The problem is coming back again, sometime no notification, sometime is working like normal. Is this iOS problem or the APNS problem? If is iOS problem then I will try to downgrade it.
Just noticed yesterday that I am not receiving push notifications in various apps since updating to 9.3.3, mainly my Yahoo! mail app. I have reset my phone multiple times as well as deleting and recreating my Yahoo! account, nothing has seemed to work. Any suggestions or resolutions to this issue?
All I did to make it work was hard reset the phone.
You can do this by holding the power button and home button together.

Hope there is a fix. I thought I was crazy too, trying tons of tips and researching like crazy. It is an Apple problem is what I've come to believing.
